About Alexa Maithé
Alexa Maithé is a multidisciplinary artist and designer working across painting, assemblage, spatial design, and sound. Trained in interior and product design in Florence, Italy, and self-taught in visual arts since the age of 17, her practice merges formal design sensibility with raw, intuitive expression.
She works extensively with repurposed materials—textiles, wood, industrial remnants—to create original pieces that bridge utility, symbolism, and artistic form. Her work explores transformation, material memory, and the relationship between human beings and their environment.
At the core of her practice is a personal search for meaning—one shaped by spiritual inquiry, ancestral memory, and a reverence for the unseen forces that influence creation. Whether through canvas, custom furniture, or sculptural assemblage, Alexa’s work invites reflection, presence, and a deeper connection to the essence of things.
