Furniture & Object Design | Honduras & Guatemala
A collection of furniture and functional objects designed by Alexa Maithé and co-created with local artisans in Honduras and Guatemala.
Each piece is the result of close collaboration, material exploration, and shared craftsmanship — blending contemporary design with ancestral techniques, local materials, and cultural knowledge. These works celebrate process, place, and the human hand behind every form.
Santo Spirito
Restaurant
Antigua Guatemala
Co-founded, co-created, and designed by Alexa Maithé, Santo Spirito is an Italian restaurant located in the heart of Antigua Guatemala. Every element of the space was custom-designed and handcrafted with local artisans, from furniture to details, creating an immersive and cohesive environment.
The project was developed in collaboration with chef Mattia Bellucci, where culinary vision and spatial design merged to create a place rooted in warmth, intention, and experience.
Nivo Apartment
Interior & Furniture Design | Honduras
Nivo Apartment is a fully designed residential project featuring custom furniture and locally crafted pieces designed by Alexa Maithé and produced by artisans in Honduras. Inspired by the idea of an oasis, the space reflects Mesoamerican zen aesthetics, clean lines, and natural balance.
The project was designed and produced in collaboration with her brother, Germán Henry, under their former design studio Casa Matersant, resulting in a refined, luxurious, and deeply rooted living environment.
